The Grand Opening of Our Third Stepping Stones Computer Learning Center!
Idaho's newest and largest Neighborhood Network (beating our own Wylie Street record)
You are cordially invited to celebrate the grand opening of Franklin Grove's Stepping Stones Computer Learning Center.
The Grand Opening Celebration will be held Friday, March 12, 2010 and will begin promptly at 1:00 PM located at: Franklin Grove Apartments, 4929 Franklin Rd, Boise, Idaho.
Speaking Guests will include:

- Brian Dale US Department of Housing and Urban Development
- Senator Crapo representative, Bryan Ricker and
- Idaho Housing and Finance Association, Julie Williams
Along with our following community partners and sponsors:
- Idaho Senior Health Insurance Benefit Advisors (SHIBA) - Our learning center will be a certified Medicare site, thanks to the SHIBA's "PC Possible" project, their generous donations have assisted us with computer expenditures associated with being Medicare Counseling/enrollment site.
- Mountain West Bank - Generous donation and support provided us with the funds to purchase computers.!
- Qwest's donation of free DSL to our center will provide the vital link that will open the world to our residents and community.
- Sherwin-Williams wonderful contribution provided new carpet in Franklin Grove's community center.
- The Idaho Division of Veterans Services - Will provide learning and outreach programs to assist veterans.
- LINC - Brings learning opportunities onsite to our residents such as independent living skills training, and advocacy. In addition debt reduction, nutritional and cooking on a budget classes will be offered.
- Idaho Commission for the Blind - will provide individual technical support and computer setup to appropriately accommodate our blind and visually impaired. Additional learning opportunities will include: orientation and mobility, activities of daily living, braille, industrial arts, and job readiness.
- World Relief - provides English as a Second Language (ESL) classes onsite. Our Partnership with World Relief also allows them to utilize our centers and classes as they assist refugees in developing life skills and find employment.
- Idaho Commission for Libraries - The Commission for Libraries is will serve our disabled and visually impaired through the Talking Book Service.
This designated center is Idaho's newest and largest HUD Neighborhood Network and has 10 brand new computers with DSL. This center helps lower-income senior, disabled and veteran families reach their goals and achieve economic self-sufficiency through access to education, job training, healthcare, social services and more.
